Information about V serial unlock codes

Unlocking serial numbers starting with V is not available online for free as access to Ford's database is required.

Ford changed the way codes are generated when moving from the M series to the V series. Until the M series there is an algorithm or pattern between the serial number and the unlock code. As a result, that algorithm can be reversed to calculate the code. However, V codes are not generated with an algorithm that is directly related to the serial number. They are random and stored in a Ford database. This means there are no calculators/decoders similar to the A, C, L and M series. V security codes are only available at Ford dealers.

There are sites that claim to be able to provide V-series codes for a price. These websites are risky and surely, in many cases, a scam. On eBay you can see places where this service is offered for little money and that their members have 100% feedback. They may have access to Ford's database.

But there are code generators that do have this implemented since they are designed specifically for serial V, it is easy to use and always recommended for this type of inconvenience.
